Make-a-Zine Workshop

Wednesday, May. 17
6:30pm - 8:00pm

The LGBTQ Youth Space is partnering with the South Bay DIY Zine Collective to bring you monthly zine workshops that will teach you how to make zines, give you the opportunity to tell your stories and ask veteran zinesters about their stories! We’ll have a different zinester each month to bring you a wide range of zine-making techniques and backgrounds!

The third installment features Li Patron & Erick Sáenz from Cheers from the Wasteland. Cheers from the Wasteland is “a place-based online journal featuring writing and art from contributors who have at least one thing in common: a tie to San Jose, California.”

South Bay DIY Zine Collective is a group of zinesters and zine lovers who maintain the zine collection at the San Jose LGBTQ Youth Space, bring zines to the community via our portable zine library, and host zine-making workshops around the South Bay Area. #sbDIYzc

Bring your stories, thoughts, ideas, etc and we’ll provide the materials!

This workshop is open to LGBTQ+ and ally folks ages 13-25. For more info, contact Diana at: dhernandez@fcservices.org.
