Our friends down the block at MACLA / Movimiento de Arte y Cultura Latino Americana are hosting the legendary Marga Gomez this weekend, and Marga is going to stop by the Youth Space to lead a workshop this Thursday night (2/8) at 5pm! Please join us!
In this fun, supportive and energetic 90-minute workshop, GLAAD award-winning writer and performer Marga Gomez will share how to make theater out of your life stories. She will also share her own experience as a Latina Lesbian creating shows that speak to her own communities and the universe at large. The workshop will include questions and answers and as time allows, storytelling from the group. If you would like to share 5 minutes or less of your story, true or imagined, we will draw names out of a hat. The 5 minute time limit will be observed so that more people can get a chance to share.
